Biography
I was born in 1976 in Iran, where I lived, studied until 2007, at which point I fled to Cyprus to achieve my dream since my passion for art started at an early age. Being an artist I studied fine art and photography to master degrees level. My passion is painting and since I moved to Cyprus I follow my passion as figurative artist.
I finished my bachelor in Applied Physics in Iran and since after I live and study in Cyprus. I graduated from Cyprus College of Art (Collaboration with university of Northampton) awarded master in Fine Art in 2012.
I was always interested in figurative art and this convinced me to continue my education to photography as complimentary form of visual art and awarded master in photography in 2014 from Alexander College in partnership with the University of the West of England in Bristol (UWE Bristol).
Portrait painting is my favorite type of subject because they give me the opportunity to truly express a wide range of emotions through my artwork.
I work with multiple media, materials and subjects to create paintings that speak through colours. I’ve worked in various different styles from academic realism to abstraction.
While I call myself realistic painter as I produced many lifelike portraits in this field, my recent works that are presented here are mostly abstract self-expression through colours and forms.
